Chess Piece is taking steps to recognize and respectfully acknowledge that customer experiences and employment takes place on unsurrendered and unceded traditional lands of the Wolastoqiyik. The "Peace and Friendship Treaty" in 1726 did not deal with the surrender of lands or resources, rather, they recognized Mi'kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations. We work to uphold that relationship as We Are All Treaty People.
