#throwback to 1883, the year Calgary got its first Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) station, a rickety boxcar located just 10 minutes away from the Fort where 9th Ave. and 4th St. now meet. CPR stations like Calgary’s were responsible for things like managing ticket sales, mail delivery, and coordinating the movement of trains via telegraph using Morse code.
