Your DIG OEV Updated Map (05/09) Brought to you by Illbury + Goose. — Day 58

Well they aren't making it easy to get in or out of The Old East Village, that's for sure. Quebec Street is now closed at the bridge. To get to The OEV (from the north) by vehicle you essentially must do down Highbury or Adelaide… and let's hope you don’t get stuck at a train on Adelaide Street!

Construction on Dundas in our direct area has moved east towards Quebec a bit and now that one lane local traffic access is not ideal. — Tons of heavy machinery and work going on. However, the one lane local traffic access on Dundas just west of Ontario is OPEN for LOCAL TRAFFIC — Please do not use this as a short cut to Quebec … Especially during working hours.

A new route that is an option is to go down Queens to English (Careful it is very tight and those bike lanes are usually CROWDED…Ha.) Also we will mention English Street however is NOT MARKED.. Lack of street signs on all corners. As a reference point, it is the side street that backs up to mockingbird_bar ... From there, wheel down Dundas through Ontario and parking is available at The Market.

There is a temporary ‘walkway’ on Dundas Street directly out front of the shop between us and So Inviting… If you find yourself hungry and looking for a quick easy treat … 10/10 would highly recommend their dumplings and pot stickers. — Remember to keep an eye out and watch your step for construction vehicles and on coming traffic.

Remember… There is parking on Ontario Street and should have an opening for foot traffic as always. Why not open up Ontario yet? No idea…. Hopefully soon!

For more access to our direct block... Enter from Florence or Rectory and continue through The Western Fair parking lots towards The Market at Western Fair District. *There are lots of visible signs and lots of parking*

As we approach the weekend, just down the street from us The Spring Market at 100 Kellogg Lane is on for the third and final weekend (Thursday–Sunday). And, guess what? We will have a booth set up inside with tons of other local vendors and businesses all weekend long. — So much amazing things to check out at 100 Kellogg Lane, don't forget to check out The Tasting Garden outside in The Courtyard.

Lastly, a very IMPORTANT REMINDER... MOTHER’S DAY IS THIS SUNDAY. — Shop Local 4 Mom.
