Between 1 January and 31 March, the company’s sales were up 62% on the same period in 2020 and surpassing the previous first-quarter record set in 2019. Sales grew across all markets, led by China, the US and Asia Pacific, with buoyant demand for all models and customer requests for Bespoke commissions at unprecedented levels. Sales of the new Ghost, launched in 2020, and the super-luxury SUV, Cullinan, were especially strong, with order books for both models extending into the second half of 2021.
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, said, “I am delighted with these results, which are a testament to the strength of our brand, the excellence of our products and the dedication, skill and commitment of the Rolls-Royce family worldwide. Our business is in excellent shape, and we are optimistic for the remainder of 2021."
