COFFEE, WATER & JUSTICE IN GUATEMALA: NOV 1ST
On Tuesday, November 1st we are honoured to welcome representatives from Campesino Committee of the Highlands (Ccda Guatemala), Catarina Garcia Hernandez and Elvis Santiago Morales Sican, as part of their 2016 Canadian Tour. CCDA grows Cafe Justicia coffee to fund their social and environmental justice initiatives in Guatemala (this is the coffee you enjoy every time you order a brew at The Root Cellar!).

Join us between 5 and 6pm for a 3-course organic prix-fixe meal (make sure you make a reservation!), with proceeds donated to CCDA, and at 7pm for a free presentation in our upstairs space. Catarina and Elvis will be speaking about the struggle to reclaim rivers kidnapped by the agro-industry in Guatemala. Pat from Patricks Beans will be onsite selling pounds of coffee, with $5 from each sale donated to CCDA.
